Three White Soldiers

Bullish Continuation

The Three White Soldiers pattern consists of three consecutive long-bodied bullish candles. Each candle opens within the previous candle's body and closes progressively higher — with little to no upper wick, showing bulls controlled the full session.

How to Identify

  • Three consecutive bullish candles with substantial bodies
  • Each candle opens within the previous candle's real body
  • Each candle closes at or near its session high (minimal upper wicks)
  • Price advances meaningfully with each session
  • Volume should be above average, ideally increasing across all three days

Market Psychology

Three days of organized buying pressure. Each session, sellers try to push back but fail — bulls close near the highs every time. This pattern signals sustained, coordinated demand rather than a one-day bounce, which makes it reliable as a momentum continuation signal.

10–14Avg Days

Strong momentum signal with continued upside over 10–14 days. Watch for overbought conditions after the pattern forms — if RSI exceeds 75, wait for a brief pullback before entering. Best used for call entries or adding to existing longs.

Caution: After three strong up days, a shallow pullback (1-2 sessions) is common before the trend resumes. Don't chase entry at the top of the third candle.
